EdCamp Atlanta is on the forefront of education and innovation. With our amazing, detailed website, our Featured Edcampers network, our growing list of fantastic participations, and our soon-to-be-released mobile web app, EdCampATL is breaking new ground. Be on the look out for the release of the mobile web app (accessible by all mobile smart phones) as well as a few more special announcements that will continue putting us on the cutting-edge of educational theory and technology.
So, it should come as no surprised that on the July 12th edSurge-Instruct newsletter, EdCamp Atlanta was listed in their calendar as an event to attend!
Within the last year, edSurge (an "information resource for the emerging education technology ecosystem" with the goal "to help accelerate the adoption of innovation in education") has produced two newsletters that become of the most reputable and thorough information and research-sharing organizations at the forefront of innovative ed tech. The Edsurge and Edsurge-Instruct newsletters feature cutting-edge apps and tools, new policies and regulations, latest research in education, grant sources, nifty web and mobile apps, and information on ed tech start-ups and leaders, among other things.
To quote another teacher in a blog post about edSurge, "As a teacher, it can be really difficult to stay on top of the latest in educational innovation. Often, if you need a tool and you “Google it,” you run the risk of finding something that is borderline academic at best. EdSurge does a great job of vetting resources so you can be sure that if it’s coming to you through the newsletter, it’s something worth taking a look at."
Become an "edsurgent" to subscribe to their two newsletters and have access to the most important news, tools, apps, and views in the Educational Innovation and Technology worlds! (And don't forget to check out their most recent edSurge newsletter and edSurge-Instruct newsletter!)
